On February 29th, Prof. Chen Qing'an from Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics (DICP) visited the School of Chemistry at Peking University upon the invitation of Prof. Zhu Rong. In the morning of that day, Prof. Chen visited our group at the invitation of Prof. Zhang and took a group photo with everyone. Prof. Chen obtained his doctoral degree from the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, in 2012, under the supervision of Prof. Zhou Yonggui. In the same year, he went to the University of California, Irvine for postdoctoral research, collaborating with Prof. Vy M. Dong. From 2015 to 2017, he worked as a Humboldt scholar in the group of Prof. Martin Oestreich at the Technical University of Berlin, Germany. In April 2017, he joined the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics to conduct independent research, and was appointed as a group leader. His main research interests include transition metal catalysis and organic synthesis.
