The Hamas Movement has extended its heartfelt condolences to the Iranian leadership and people over the martyrdom of Ali Larijani, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, along with his son and several companions, in an Israeli strike in Tehran.
In a statement on Wednesday, Hamas reiterated its solidarity with Iran, which is facing Zio‑American aggression.
Hamas warned that the ongoing Zionist-American aggression against Iran amounts to a crime against the entire region, threatening its security and stability.
“As we mourn Ali Larijani and all those who were martyred in the brutal Zio‑American aggression, we recall with deep appreciation his honorable positions in support of the Palestinian cause and our people’s legitimate rights.”
“We ask Almighty Allah to bestow His vast mercy upon him, to endow his family and brothers with patience and consolation, and to protect the brotherly Iranian people from all harm and evil,” Hamas said.
Iran’s Supreme National Security Council said Tuesday that its head, Ali Larijani, was killed in an Israeli airstrike.
The council said Gholamreza Soleimani, commander of the Basij Forces, was also killed in the strike. News reports also said that Larijani’s son and members of his security detail were among the dead.
