The Iranian military confirmed that its naval forces fired missiles at the U.S. aircraft carrier “Abraham Lincoln,” forcing it to leave the area.

The Iranian military explained that “the operation involved the launch of powerful missiles from the coast into the sea, which led to the aircraft carrier’s withdrawal,” noting that the operation came in response to U.S. crimes and coincided with the farewell ceremony for the martyrs of the frigate “Dana.”

As part of its response to U.S.-Israeli aggression, Iran continues to target U.S. aircraft carriers, including the “Abraham Lincoln,” which it has targeted several times. The response also includes targeting all U.S. military bases in the region and deep within the occupying entity.

On March 8, the Iranian Army’s Public Relations Office announced that the destroyer “Dana,” which was on a training mission on its way back from the “Milan 2026” peace exercises, had been subjected to a brutal attack by the U.S. Navy.

It stated that “the destroyer’s crew consisted of 136 people, 104 of whom were killed, while 20 are still missing.” Additionally, 32 crew members were injured.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi had threatened that the United States would “deeply regret” the sinking of the Iranian frigate “Dana.”
